Well-travelled
and prolific goalscorer with Football League experience, he signed as
front-line cover for Ashton in 2015 and scored with his first touch as a Robin.
He
returned to the club in the summer of 2016 after a brief return to former club
Radcliffe Borough and was appointed joint manager in September 2016 alongside
Will Haining.
Banim
and Haining stepped up to replace Paul Phillips and Steve Halford after they
opted to take over at then-Vanarama National League North neighbours
Stalybridge Celtic.
However,
in April 2017, Haining left Hurst Cross to take time away from the game to spend
more time with his young family., leaving Banim in sole charge.
The
club have placed on record its thanks to Banim for his commitment and work over
the past few years, both as a player and manager, especially in achieving
promotion to the National League North. |
