Leaving
the Tigers are loanees Luke Russe and Vincent Harper, who have both returned to
their respective parent clubs Bristol Rovers and Bristol City, defenders Jack
Spark and James Unwin, both of whom were dual-registered to Lydney Town and
Pershore Town respectively, and Jake Jackson has left on a month`s loan to BetVictor
Southern League Premier Division South side Taunton Town.
Incoming
are Jack Senior and Liam Daly.
Senior(pictured) is a 22-year-old left back, who can also operate as a wing-back and arrives at
the club as a free agent.
Senior
joined Huddersfield Town at the age of 10 and signed his first professional
contract with the Terriers in 2015.
He
helped the Yorkshire club’s under-21s to the Northern Division title, as well
as the Professional Development League 2 crown, in the 2015/16 season, playing
36 times during the successful campaign.
He
then opted to switch to Luton Town on a two-year deal and made his League debut
in January 2017 and went on to make 10 consecutive starts for Luton in League
Two.
A
foot injury limited his subsequent games and he ended his first season at
Kenilworth Road with 16 appearances under his belt, as well as an inclusion in
the EFL Trophy’s team of the tournament as Luton reached the semi-finals.
Despite
a promising start to life with the Hatters, Senior found his chances in the first
team limited during the 2017/18 season, making just 5 appearances – all of them
in the Checkatrade Trophy.
In
February 2019 he headed out on loan to National League outfit Harrogate Town
and made 5 appearances, including the defeat to AFC Fylde in the play-offs,
before being released by Luton.
In
the summer he spent time on trial with League Two Grimsby Town.
Daly
is an experienced defender who arrives at Gloucester from National League side
Solihull Moors.
The
32-year-old first joined Solihull back in 2008 from Redditch United, having
previously been at Birmingham City as a youngster.
He
joined Leamington in 2010, where in four seasons he made almost 200
appearances, scoring 20 goals.
He
helped the Brakes to win the Southern League Premier title in 2013.
He
returned to Moors for the start of the 2014/15 campaign and after a few weeks
at Kidderminster Harriers at the start of the 2017/18 season returned to the
club again.
He
has made 14 National League appearances for Moors this season. |
