...his sixth new signing since taking over at Liberty Way.
Panayiotou, 23, joins Boro after leaving National League side Barrow AFC at the end of last season.
The St Kitts & Nevis international helped the Bluebirds avoid relegation - a challenge he accepted over the opportunity to join Borussia Dortmund`s under-23 side.
Born in Leicester, Panayiotou made his way through the academy system at Leicester City and made his first-team debut as a substitute in April 2012, scoring the winning goal against Leeds United.
He did not make another senior appearance for the Foxes, however. He had a loan spell with Port Vale in 2014 without playing a first-team game and in early 2016 spent a loan spell with Scottish Championship side Raith Rovers where he scored twice in sixteen appearances.
He was released by Leicester in the summer of 2016 and joined Barrow in late September.
He made his debut off the bench in the Buildbase FA Trophy replay win over Harrogate Town in December and then moved to Salford City on loan in late March until the end of the 2016/17 season.
In 15 appearances with his national team, Panayiotou has scored 7 goals, since making his debut in 2014 against Barbados.
Panayiotou joins Devon-Kelly Evans, Miles Addison, Owain Jones, Curtis Obeng and Ash Carter as newcomers to Eaden`s squad at Nuneaton.
