Gordon has left the Banbury Plant Hire Community Stadium and is expected to be announced as a new arrival at Vanarama National League South side Oxford City ahead of this weekend`s game.

The 23-year-old striker was previously a full-time professional and played in the Football League for Peterborough United, Newport County and Cheltenham Town and had time with West Ham United before long-term injury ruled him out of the game for 18 months whilst at Cheltenham.

He returned to football towards the end of last season with Tamworth before joining Banbury in August.

And Gordon’s goals have helped propel the Puritans up to second place in the table.

He has bagged 12 goals in the league and 15 in all competitions since joining the club this season and signed off by hitting the late winner last Saturday against Alvechurch to earn Banbury all three points.
