....the senior section of the club have completed a merger with Corby Kingswood FC.
The newly formed S&L Kingswood FC will allow the club to enter three teams into the Northants Combination League next season.
The first-team will be entered into the Combination Premier Division and will be managed by Sean Mason and Del Simmons.
A reserve side will be entered into Division One, managed by Neal Loakes and Paul Doherty.
And a third side, S&L Kingswood A, will be entered into Division Four managed by Danny Cross.
The ambitions of getting the club back into the UCL remain unchanged. This merger should allow the club to bring some stability, with all three teams focused on working together to get the first-team back into the UCL.
The club emphasises that this merger will in no way affect the youth systems for both clubs with the under-18s and younger teams remaining under the previous structures for both clubs.
It is hoped that merging the senior sides will provide a better system for both youth sections to progress into and S&L Kingswood FC`s aim is to help grow as many local talents as it can and progress them into a higher standard of football. |
