Twenty-three-year-old Akrofi began his career in Essex with Brentwood Town before earning a move to Maidstone United.

The pacey winger made fifty-five appearances for the Stones, during which he played a large part in their promotion to the Conference South.

Upon his return to the Stones, Akrofi moved to Hastings United where he failed to score in seven appearances before signing for Tonbridge Angels, where he hit the net 34 times in sixty-eight appearances as the Kent side finished eleventh in the Bostik Premier.

A former Ipswich Town academy product, Reason moves to Chelmsford having scored 70 career goals in over 400 appearances.

The central midfielder signed for Cambridge United following his departure from Portman Road, making thirty-nine appearances for the then-Conference side.

Reason (pictured) then moved on to Crawley Town before signing at Braintree Town in 2010.

The experienced midfielder proved a success in his first season with the Iron, making thirty-two appearances as the won promotion to the Conference National under current City boss Rod Stringer in 2011.

Although, Reason fell out with the new-management team during the 2011/12 season, with the 28-year-old claiming that it was a result of being played in a wide midfield position rather than centrally.

He swapped the Iron for Eastleigh - with whom he spent five seasons with - before signing at Boreham Wood for the 2016/17 season.

Reason made forty-six appearances and scored 4 times in all competitions for Maidstone last campaign, with the Stones finishing their campaign in the National League in nineteenth.
