The attack-minded midfielder went through the ranks at SkyBet League One side Gillingham from the age of 7 and is known for being a goalscorer who also creates chances and likes to drive with the ball when in possession.

During his time with the Gills, the 21-year-old had loan spells at Hastings United, Cray Wanderers, Tonbridge Angels and Margate.

Stevenson made 13 appearances for the Gills, with 3 of them coming in the league.

He made his first team debut in the EFL Trophy against Luton Town back in August 2016 and also featured in the Carabao Cup.

He joined Bay in September and scored 5 goals in 10 games but comes to the Clarets suspended, having been sent-off against Sittingbourne on November 9th.
