The 20-year-old Latvian arrived at Barnet on a two-year deal in the summer of 2018 following a successful trial period at The Hive.

The youngster kick-started his career by spending nine years at SK Babite before moving to London, signing for West Ham United.

After becoming a regular under-18 starter for the Hammers, Matrevics was awarded his Premier League 2 debut for the under-23 side during the 2017/18 season.

He has also represented Latvia at under-17 and under-19 level, accumulating 22 caps for his country before receiving a call-up to the under-21s.
