Manager Jamie Fullarton has signed attacking midfielder Cameron King.
The 22-year-old spent his youth career with Norwich City.
King was a member of the Canaries’ 2013 FA Youth Cup-winning squad under Neil Adams and went on to make his senior debut as a late substitute in a Carling Cup defeat at Shrewsbury Town in September 2014.
Brought up in East Harling, near Thetford, his thirteen years with Norwich came to an end in the summer of 2016.
He dropped down to the Thurlow Nunn League and played for home-town club Thetford Town during 2016/17, scoring 16 goals in 45 games.
His search for a move to a higher level took him to League of Ireland side Shamrock Rovers in August 2017, where he made seven appearances before the completion of their season in October.
He joined King`s Lynn Town in January 2018, starting eight games in a spell interrupted by injury.
Lynn were keen to get him back this summer, but he has opted to join the Shaymen on a one-year deal.
Meanwhile, midfielder Jake Hibbs has left the Shaymen.
Hibbs joined at the start of the 2013/14 season, during his time with the club he had loan spells with Radcliffe Borough, Salford City, Droylsden and AFC Telford United.
He made 73 appearances for the Shaymen, also featuring in the Buildbase FA Trophy-winning team at Wembley.
Fullarton told the club`s official website: “Jake felt he was at the stage of his career where game time was of paramount importance and having had a number of discussions with Jake, he felt it was in his best interest to leave the club to achieve this.
“Jake has conducted himself admirably during my time at the club and I wish him every success during the next stage of his career”. |
