Currie Becomes a Gingerbread
BetVictor Northern Premier League Premier Division club Grantham Town have signed defender Isaac Currie following a spell in the United States.

The 6`1” Nottingham-born centre-back signed pro terms with Philadelphia Fury in August having been with Reading United in the USL League Two.

 

Previously with South Carolina United Bantams and the University of the Incarnate Word in the NCAA Division One, he moved to the States in May 2016.

 

He started out with hometown Nottingham Forest`s academy, where he played from under-11 to under-16 level.

 

After being allowed to leave the City Ground, he was signed by Burton Albion un July 2012.

 

He progressed through the under-18 and reserve sides with the Brewers and made the first team squad before deciding to concentrate on his studies and college football.
