Curzon Ashton Add Two to Squad
Vanarama National League North club Curzon Ashton have brought in two new signings in Ethan Beckford and Lewis Doyle.

Striker Beckford (pictured) joins on a permanent deal from Penn State University.

 

The 20-year old was born in Manchester but also holds citizenship in Canada, where he played for MLS side Toronto FC.

 

He made several appearances for their development team Toronto FC II in the USL.

 

In 2017 he began playing college football for Penn State University’s soccer team where he became an integral member of the squad until leaving in the summer to pursue his career in Europe.

 

He is the son of former Port Vale, Norwich City and Oldham Athletic forward, Darren Beckford.

 

Nineteen-year old Doyle has been brought in on an initial month’s loan from SkyBet League One side Accrington Stanley.

 

The midfielder was a summer signing at the Crown Ground from Curzon`s league rivals Southport.

 

He spent his younger years in Preston North End’s academy and has also had a loan spell with Witton Albion.
