Record Fee Sees Hardcastle Move to Ashton United

Atherton Collieries have agreed an undisclosed fee with BetVictor Northern Premier League Premier Division rivals Ashton United for midfielder Ben Hardcastle.

The fee represents Colls` record amount received for a player.

Last season’s Division One West player of the season is a tricky right winger who has made over 250 appearances for Collieries and helped them to win the NPL Division One West title in 2018/19.

He has been a linchpin of the side since joining in 2014, having previously played at Pennington and Atherton LR, after progressing through the Morecambe youth ranks.
