BetVictor Northern Premier League Division One South East club Newcastle Town have announced the return of Matt Lowe.

The 28-year-old is the former captain of Newcastle and has re-signed after a spell out of the game due to work commitments.

 

The experienced midfielder, who can also play full back or as a central defender, was a member of the `Castle team who reached the play-offs and has made in excess of 160 appearances and scored 13 goals for the club.

 

On the signing, manager Robin van der Laan told https://www.newcastletownfc.co.uk: "It was a great loss when we lost Chipper last August due to his heavy work schedule.

 

"He is a great character to have at the club and he will bring experience, leadership and quality to our young squad".
