.....National League club Hartlepool United, has now added Paddy McLaughlin to his squad.
The midfielder has made the relatively short move from National League rivals Gateshead.
The highly-rated 27-year-old is most comfortable in an attacking central midfield role but can also play wide on the left if required and was an ever-present for The Heed last season.
A former Northern Ireland under-21 international, McLaughlin began his career with Newcastle United but really made a name for himself after switching to York City in 2011 with whom he twice won at Wembley in the FA Trophy and the National League Promotion Final.
County Antrim-born McLaughlin was snapped up by Grimsby Town in 2013 and he played over 50 times for the Mariners before joining Gateshead in 2015 where he has been a regular presence in the team ever since. |
