Bowden-Brown Forces to Step Down at Ramsgate
Former Maidstone United chairman Paul Bowden-Brown has been forced to quit his post at BetVictor Isthmian League South East club Ramsgate due to health problems.

Bowden-Brown was chairman of Maidstone for many years and saw the club rise up through Isthmian football and was then instrumental in keeping Thamesmead Town afloat against all odds until a lack of support and spiralling costs forced the club to fold in 2018.

He joined the Rams in October 2018, but recent heart trouble means he has to wear a heart monitor.

And results from the monitor has shown it is essential that he reduce the stress levels in his lifestyle, so regretfully has had to tender his resignation as chairman.

Whilst he wishes to continue the sterling work he’s been doing with regard to stadium development in his capacity as a Director, on doctors advice he must retire from running, organising and funding the playing side of the club.

The new chairman will be James Lawson, who has been responsible for some valuable work in the youth section and he will ensure that these ideals are realised.
