Grant, who recently turned 23, stepped up into the top level of non-League football in the summer from Hemel`s league rivals Wealdstone.

He had joined Wealdstone from rivals Oxford City in May 2018.

He began his career with City’s local rivals Oxford United and spent time out on loan at Margate and Farnborough before joining the Hoops in 2016.

He made over 80 league starts in his time at the Hoops and was part of their giant-killing FA Cup team in 2017/18.

He has been in the Magpies matchday squad on ten occasions this season, but has started only two times.
