.....league`s top scorer, Ben Whitehead, has agreed to remain at the Corinium Stadium for the 2018/19 season.

 

Whitehead signed for Cirencester in the summer of 2017 from Didcot Town after manager Griffin tried unsuccessfully to sign him the previous season.

 

Whitehead, whose other previous clubs include Swindon Supermarine, Swindon Town and Chippenham Town, ended the season as the joint-winner of the `golden boot` with 47 goals (43 in the league) and swept the board at the club`s end of season presentation evening, winning players`, managers` and supporters` player awards.

 

Whitehead joins Tommy Anderson, Aidan Bennett, Will Christopher, Adam Connolly, Ellis Dunton, Alan Griffin, Mason Lewis, Max Lloyd, Michael Pook, Henry Spalding and Mateusz Wieczorek in committing to Cirencester for 2018/19.

 

Griffin has also confirmed that he will be re-joined by James Mortimer-Jones as his assistant.

 

The former Shrewsbury Town and Carterton midfielder, who signed for the club from Didcot Town in October 2010, will also sign player forms for Ciren.
