....favourites for the title after signing prolific marksman TJ Bohane.

Bohane has virtually assured goals wherever he has been, especially in recent seasons when he has netted 103 goals in 112 games in the Hellenic League.

As well as the Hellenic, Bohane has also had four spells with Swindon Supermarine, having joined originally in 2005 from the New College Academy but after one substitute appearance, he left for Highworth Town.

He had two more short spells with `Marine in 2011 and 2012 making a total of 8 starts and 13 substitute appearances, scoring 2 goals in all three spells.

After leaving `Marine in 2012 he’s had successful times at both Highworth (twice), and Bracknell Town where he has scored a large number of goals and helped the club to promotion in 2017/18.

He has also worn the colours of Royal Wootton Bassett Town and Shortwood United.

Travel problems were cited as the reason why Bohane wanted to leave Bracknell at the end of last season – the Robins having been placed in the Bostik League South Central.

Bohane joins midfielder Callum Wright, who has also put pen-to-paper after joining from league rivals Royal Wootton Bassett Town, where he recently won the players` player of the year award.

The technically gifted midfielder has previously played for Chippenham Town.

Several other players from last season`s squad have re-signed for the Alfredians, including players` player of the year and captain Chris Jackson.

Goalkeeper and young player of the year, Curtis Meare, has also committed to another season at Alfredian Park.

The keeper was one of the club`s most important players and at just 21 will be looking to improve on an impressive first season.

Meare`s former clubs include Royal Wootton Bassett, Thatcham Town and Forest Green Rovers.

Attacking midfielder Harvey Scholes has also re-signed for the upcoming season, as has another ex-Wootton Bassett player in right-back Dan Comer, who had an excellent first season for Wantage and will be a key player for 2018/19.
