Wright
kicked off his playing career at Leicester City, making his first-team debut in
2002 aged 17.
Spells
with Brentford, Blackpool, Barnsley, Walsall, Darlington and Aberdeen followed.
After
helping Darlington lift the FA Trophy in 2011, he moved into management at
Corby Town and Nuneaton Town.
As
player-manager at Corby, he lifted the Southern League Premier title in 2014/15
before taking over as manager at National League North Darlington.
He
left the Quakers in April 2019 and was appointed manager of Southern League
Premier Division Central outfit Stratford Town the following June.
But
he was sacked in October with the team in 11th place in the table. |
