Two New Lairds
Phil Burton, the recently-appointed manager of Hallmark Security League Division One South club Cammell Laird 1907, has made his first new signings.

Defender or midfielder Andy Scarisbrick has joined Lairds from Evo-Stik Northern Premier League West side Prescot Cables.

Scarisbrick is a wholehearted and versatile player who came through from the Cables’ under-18 side and is a firm fan favourite, not least because he scored the second goal in the 2016/17 Liverpool Senior Cup Final.

However, due to the imminent birth of his first child, and work commitments, he was unable to commit to being fully available for training or matches in the Northern Premier League this season and has made the decision to move to Lairds where the games are a little more local to him.

Burton has also signed Colm Lynch.

Lairds remember striker Lynch from their time in the West Cheshire League and his goals for Rainhill Town.
