BetVictor Southern League Division One Central club AFC Dunstable had a couple of debutants in their Boxing Day defeat at home to high-flying Berkhamsted.

Joining Arel Amu, an earlier arrival from Southern League Premier Division South side Walton Casuals, was defender Kieren Igbanoi, with Joel Gyasi on the bench.

 

Igbanoi is a 22-year-old who joins AFC from Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division side Biggleswade United.

 

Gyasi (pictured) joins from Southern League Premier Division Central side Stratford Town.

 

The 25-year-old signed for Stratford in July having ended the 2018/19 season with Cambridge City, who he joined from then-Southern League Division One Central rivals Bedford Town in January 2019.

 

He had re-joined the Eagles in October 2018 from AFC Rushden & Diamonds.

 

His other former clubs include Kettering Town, Northampton Sileby Rangers, and Daventry Town.

 

He returned to Cambridge City in October 2019.

 

Also joining AFC in time for the New Year`s Day`s trip to Barton Rovers is experienced midfielder Stefan Powell and left back Tom Silford.

 

The 25-year-old moves to Creasey Park from Isthmian League Premier Division side Potters Bar Town, for whom he has appeared 25 times this season but latterly consigned to the bench.

 

Powell joined the Scholars during the 2018/19 season from Northwood.

 

He had been with Woods since September 2018 having signed from Beaconsfield Town where he was a member of their title-winning squad.

 

He has also previously played for Stotfold, Arlesey Town, Hitchin Town, Barton Rovers, Chalfont St Peter and Bedford Town.

 

Silford returns to AFC for a fourth time, arriving from Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division neighbours Leighton Town.

 

The 24-year-old started out with AFC and has also seen service with Bedford FC, London Colney, Welwyn Garden City, Leverstock Green, Crawley Green and Berkhamsted.
