Gonzales joins from NPL Division One North West side Colne, who he helped eliminate Shields from the Emirates FA Cup earlier this season.

The 27-year-old joined Colne from league rivals Droylsden in July.

He had signed for the Bloods in November 2017 after a brief second spell with Clitheroe.

He had only just returned to Clitheroe for a third time, having been with then-National League North side FC United of Manchester. And he had only joined FC United for a month after joining from Altrincham.

The 6`4” striker had joined Alty from Stockport County, where he was signed in the summer of 2015 from Clitheroe, where he had scored 41 goals in his 80 appearances.

Prior to joining Clitheroe, he had played for both Kendal Town and Droylsden and had also enjoyed brief spells with Chorley and Stalybridge Celtic.
