Green joined Tranmere in October 2017 for an undisclosed fee from Evo-Stik Northern Premier League side Stourbridge.

The 21-year-old began his career with Burton Albion before Blackburn Rovers snapped him up for another undisclosed fee as a 16-year-old.

He progressed through the academy at Ewood Park before signing a two-year professional contract.

Green spent time with Cardiff City during the 2016/17 season before joining Hednesford Town and then Stourbridge last term.

Manager Liam Watson told https://southportfc.net: “Devarn was a key target of ours this summer and I’m delighted to secure his services.
