Interesting Start to Barum Spell for New Striker

Striker Stuart Bowker has signed for BetVictor Southern League Division One South strugglers Barnstaple Town from Toolstation Western League Premier Division side Buckland Athletic.

Bowker signed for the Homers Heath outfit in the summer of 2019 from South West Peninsula League Premier Division outfit Bodmin Town.

In 2018/19, Bowker scored 19 goals in 30 games for Bodmin.

The 29-year-old had joined Helston Athletic in June 2018 from Stoke Gabriel before making a swift switch to Bodmin.

Bowker scored 23 goals in SWPL competitions in 2017/18 for Stoke Gabriel but left following their demotion to Division One East for failing ground grading regulations.

He made his debut for Barum on New Year`s Day but was sent-off on his second appearance on Saturday in the 2-1 win at Bristol Manor Farm.
