The 18-year-old second-year scholar scored two goals in his recent stint at Evesham and has also spent time on loan with Total Motion Midland League Premier Division outfit Worcester City last season.

Basford (pictured) played a key role in the Robins` under-18s FA Youth Cup run this season which saw them bow out on penalties after a 0-0 draw following extra-time against Arsenal.

The youngster also sat on the bench for the first team last season in an Emirates FA Cup replay against Ebbsfleet United.

The Foresters have also brought in young centre-back Tom Wright on loan from League Two Newport County.

A County academy graduate who was originally on the books at Cardiff City, he has recently returned from a successful loan spell with Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division side Lydney Town, where he made 18 appearances and scored 2 goals.
