Jessup
only re-joined the Clarets over the festive period as cover for Laurie Walker,
who is on a season-long loan from SkyBet League One side MK Dons.
And
it was a shrewd move, with Walker being injured in the New Year`s Day derby against
Braintree Town, requiring Jessup to come off the bench and help his team to a 2-1
win and then starting the 2-1 success against Hemel Hempstead Town last
Saturday.
Jessup
had returned to the Melbourne Community Stadium after a short spell with
Isthmian League Premier Division outfit Brightlingsea Regent.
A
June 2019 signing for Leiston from Southern League Premier Division Central
rivals Needham Market, he then switched to Isthmian North outfit Cambridge City
in November 2019 before moving again a month later to Brightlingsea.
A
real presence in goal at 6’6”, he joined the Marketmen from Chelmsford in July
2018 from Chelmsford City where he played in the end of season National League
South play-off final.
Also,
formerly with Mildenhall Town and Lowestoft Town.
