BetVictor Southern League Division One Central promotion-chasers Corby Town have signed experienced defender James Clifton from Southern League Premier Division Central side Nuneaton Borough.

The 28-year-old had re-joined Boro in June after spells with Vanarama National League North sides Alfreton Town and Boston United.

 

His other previous clubs include Brackley Town and Nuneaton before joining Boston in June 2017.

 

He made 38 appearances for the Pilgrims in 2017/18, scoring 3 times.

 

Predominantly a right-back who can also slot into midfield if required, he has been signed to fill the void left by the departure of Callum Westwood, who left the Steelmen earlier this week due to “personal reasons and re-location”.
