The
29-year-old has joined the Quakers on loan from Icelandic side IBV and has been
training with his home-town club for two months.
Martin
joined IBV from Valur in June 2019 after being at Hlíðarenda since January
2019.
He
started his career with Middlesbrough where he came through the ranks and had his
first taste of football abroad with a loan spell with Hungarian side Ujpest in
2010.
Since
then he has spent virtually all of his time abroad, apart from a short spell
with York City in 2017 where he played 3 times.
After
leaving the Riverside in May 2010, Martin moved to Iceland for the first time
with Íþróttabandalag Akraness, more commonly known as IA.
Spells
with KR and Vikingur Reykjavik followed before he moved to Belgian side Lokeren
in 2017.
Norwegian
side Lillestrom was his next port of call after leaving York and then he was back
to Iceland with Valur. |
