Danville Appointed New Hemsworth Boss

Toolstation Northern Counties East League Premier Division promotion-chasers Hemsworth Miners Welfare have appointed Luke Danville as their new player-manager.

Danville has been instrumental in keeping the squad together since Wayne Benn left to take charge at BetVictor Northern Premier League Division One North West side Ossett United.

Danville joined Hemsworth back in January 2016, signed by Benn from Pontefract Collieries.

He had won promotion from the NCEL Division One in each of his previous two seasons, firstly captaining Shaw Lane Aquaforce to second place in 2014 and then helping Pontefract to promotion in 2015/16.

His other previous clubs include Wakefield and Frickley Athletic.

Danville will take sole charge of the first team with immediate effect and will be assisted by Andy Hart with Steve Jeff taking a first team coaching role.
