And both made their debuts for the Wings on Saturday.

Whilst they might have had to get to know new team-mates, the duo already know the man in charge at Welling.

Brad Quinton has just been appointed as manager at Welling, and he would have known both players from their loan spells with league rivals Braintree Town.

Colchester director of football Tony Humes told https://www.cu-fc.com: "These are both lads that will further develop with regular competitive football."

"They are both too comfortable with U23s football so playing football at a club where points really matter will do them both good, for now and for their development”.
