Johnson joined the Canaries in August 2018, initially on a one-year deal with the option of a further year, which was taken up, and has featured regularly for the under-23s.

Johnson, 19, spent the majority of his youth career playing for his local side Beccles before joining the Community Sports Foundation's (CSF) Football and Education Programme which allows youngsters to continue their academic study alongside a full training programme delivered by ex-City players Adam Drury, Ryan Jarvis and Simon Lappin.
