Two New Defenders For Wood

Total Motion Midland League Premier Division club Walsall Wood have boosted their squad with the arrival of defenders Alex Melbourne and James O`Neill.

The experienced 30-year-old Melbourne joins Wood from BetVictor Northern Premier League Division One South East side Chasetown.

He had signed for the Scholars in the summer of 2019 from Wood`s league rivals Sporting Khalsa.

Originally with Wolverhampton Wanderers, he has since had spells with AFC Wulfrunians, Stafford Rangers and two stints each at Hednesford Town and the Scholars.

O`Neill (pictured) is also a former Chasetown player and former team-mate of Melbourne`s.

He has also figured for Rushall Olympic, who he joined in the summer of 2018.
