The 23-year-old joined the Stones in June 2019 from former National League rivals FC Halifax Town having joined the Shaymen from SkyBet Championship outfit Hull City in the summer of 2018.

Luton-born, he started his career with Stevenage before signing his first professional contract with Peterborough United.

He had loan spells with Bishop’s Stortford, Ilkeston, St Albans City and his new club Biggleswade before joining Dunstable Town in 2016.

Hull gave him a one-year contract following a successful trial with their under-21 squad and he had loan spells with Accrington and Woking during his time at the KC Stadium.

Maidstone`s head coach Hakan Hayrettin told http://www.maidstoneunited.co.uk upon his departure: “Jon leaves with our very best wishes.

“If it wasn’t for time out with injury and an in-form Ibby Akanbi, he might have had a better run of the games.

“He’s a great character and a good personality, who fitted in very well with the rest of the lads, but sadly it hasn’t worked out for him here”.
