Eddie
Clarke will spend the rest of the season at Edgeley Park, after the defender’s
loan spell with troubled SkyBet League Two side Macclesfield Town from League
One side Fleetwood Town was ended early.
The
left-back features 6 times for the Silkmen this season but will now join up
with Gannon’s squad.
Clarke,
21, started his career at Tranmere Rovers and cost more than £40,000 in
compensation when he joined Fleetwood in 2018.
During
his first season with Rovers, he made 15 appearances, helping Tranmere to win
promotion back to the Football League.
This
season he has made ten appearances for the Silkmen, after making 5 appearances
for Joey Barton’s side during the previous campaign.
Striker
Jordan Archer joins on an initial month's loan from League Two outfit Port Vale.
The
26-year-old joined the Valiants last summer after his former club, Bury, were
expelled from the Football League.
Archer,
whose younger brother Cameron is at Aston Villa, scored on his debut for Vale
against Shrewsbury in the EFL Trophy in September and has been a regular in
their squad ever since.
The
6`3” striker began his career playing for a number of non-League clubs in the
West Midlands, including Redditch United, Chasetown, Coleshill Town, Tividale, Bedworth
United and Stourbridge before signing his first professional contract at
Chester FC.
From
there, he caught the eye of then-Shakers boss Ryan Lowe. who paid £20,000 to
take the big striker to the Football League in 2018.
Meanwhile,
joining from league rivals FC Halifax Town on a contract until the end of the
season is striker Liam McAlinden (pictured). The
26-year-old signed for the Shaymen in August 2019 from League Two side
Cheltenham Town. The
6`1” frontman started his career with Wolverhampton Wanderers and had loan
spells with Shrewsbury Town, Fleetwood Town and Crawley Town. He
joined Exeter City in May 2016 spending two seasons in Devon before moving to
Cheltenham. During
his time with the Robins, he had loan spells with National League North sides
Brackley Town and Kidderminster Harriers.
He
has represented Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland under-21s.
