Stimson has a wealth of Isthmian League experience, in particular taking the sadly now defunct Thurrock to the Premier Division.

Stimson`s playing career began at Tottenham Hotspur and he went on to have spells with Newcastle United, Portsmouth, Southend United, Leyton Orient, Canvey Island and Grays Athletic

His managerial career started at Grays Athletic where he guided them to the Conference South championship and two successful FA Trophy finals – a feat he repeated at his next club, Stevenage Borough.

He led Gillingham to League Two play-off final success and also had spells with Barnet, Kettering Town and Waltham Abbey.

He quit the Abbots in November 2018 to take over at Hornchurch, who are currently sitting in fourth place in the table.
