....for his squad ahead of the new season.

Full-back Tommy Cooney has signed from Margate, 19-year-old central midfielder Tommy Ouldridge has joined Crusaders from Swindon Town, 23-year-old right-back Marcus Johnson-Schuster arrives from Wealdstone and young midfielder Sam Deadfield from Basingstoke Town.

Cooney signed for Margate in December 2016 after playing for Morecambe's under-23 development squad.

The Irish-born 21-year-old began his career as a youngster with Sligo Rovers before being scouted.

He then had two years as part of Brentford's elite development squad and also spent time at Millwall where he had a successful trial cut short by a groin injury.

Since leaving Griffin Park Cooney, who can also play centre-back, has been largely based in the north playing for the likes of Scarborough Athletic, Brighouse Town, Boston United and Corby Town.

Ouldridge was Swindon Town`s youth team captain.

He had loan spells in non-League football with Chippenham Town and Cirencester Town.

He was released by the Robins in May.

Johnson-Schuster is a former scholar at Blackpool where he spent two years from 2011 to 2013 during which time he played numerous games for the reserves and under-21.

Reading-born, he returned nearer home and joined Basingstoke Town where he made over 60 first-team appearances in two spells.

He arrived for his second spell with Basingstoke in the summer of 2016 after spending the previous year with Evo-Stik Southern League West outfit Swindon Supermarine.

The right-back previously played for Basingstoke during the 2013/14 season and has also spent time with Metropolitan Police and Hampton & Richmond Borough.

He moved to Wealdstone in December 2017.

Deadfield originally came through the Birmingham City academy where he played alongside the likes of Leicester City`s Demarai Gray.

A tricky, technical player, after a spell at Reading and then Beaconsfield SYCOB, he was signed by Basingstoke in 2016 and made just under 100 appearances, scoring 13 goals.
