Two
more well-known players from the Devon non-League scene have joined Barum in
Frazer Clark and Robbie Bowker.
Devon-born
Clark had spells, or trials, earlier in his fledgling career with Plymouth
Argyle, Exeter City, Torquay United, Southampton and Coventry City but was
overlooked before being handed a chance by the Swans.
Unfortunately,
he suffered a broken leg in January 2011 while playing for Swansea`s under-18s
against AFC Bournemouth.
It
resulted in an operation the following day to insert a pin into his femur and
then several weeks on crutches.
In
a fine gesture, Swansea extended his two-year deal to cover the months he was
out of action.
However,
he was released at the end of the 2010/11 season
He
signed for Dorchester Town in September 2012.
Since
then he has had spells with Stoke Gabriel and Cullompton Rangers.
Robbie
Bowker (pictured) joins brother Stuart at Barum.
The
midfielder is an experienced non-League midfielder who has been around the
Devon scene for a while, having spells with the likes of Liverton United,
Galmpton United, Newton Abbot, Stoke Gabriel and Cullompton Rangers. |
