He has been at AFC Fylde since August 2015, helping them clinch promotion to the National League and captaining the side last season, as they missed out on promotion to the Football League via the play-offs.
The 25-year-old had been at The New Saints in the Welsh Premier, winning the league four times and playing in the Europa League, and spent a season at Wrexham.
He has signed a two-year deal with the Reds.
Manager John Coleman told accringtonstanley.co.uk: “Sam is a good player and had two particularly good games against Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup last season.
“He is a competitive midfielder who fits the mould here. He is hungry. He could have got more money playing in non-League football, but he wanted a crack at the Football League and he is backing himself to do that, I like that.
“He is the type of player we want. We can’t give him riches, but we can give him the platform to go on and better himself”. |
