He
has the daunting task of taking the number 9 shirt vacated by prolific marksman
Danny Rowe, who moved to League Two side Oldham Athletic last week.
Proctor
has just returned to the Millers after being on loan with League Tow outfit Scunthorpe
United since September.
He
made a total of 14 appearances for the Iron, with 4 of those league starts.
His
only goal for Scunthorpe came in the 3-0 home win over Morecambe.
The
27-year-old, contracted with the Millers until 2021, has endured an injury-hit
past few seasons at the club, but is now fully fit.
Proctor
returned from a serious ACL injury at the start of last season and made 18
appearances in the first half of 2018/19 before undergoing hip surgery
following a further injury blow.
He
started out his career with home-town club Preston North End, making 6
appearances in the Championship before appearing a further 31 times in League
One.
He
then made the switch to Crawley Town, where he scored 13 goals in 62
appearances.
A
move to Fylde`s neighbours Fleetwood Town followed, where he made 64 League One
appearances, before spending spells with both Bradford City and Bolton
Wanderers.
He
signed for Rotherham in August 2017. |
