Jimmy Ginnelly has re-signed Enoch Andoh and brought in Riccardo Calder.
Andoh (pictured) is a 26-year-old winger who signed for Boro`s league rivals Hednesford Town in
September 2019.
The
Ghanaian started his career in his homeland and then signed for Portuguese
giants FC Porto where he played in the under-19 side.
A
move to Cypriot First Division side AEL Limassol followed, making 37
appearances before signing an 18-month contract at Port Vale.
After
a great start at Vale Park, attracting the attention of Tottenham Hotspur, he
suffered a season-ending injury.
After
re-starting his career with Whitehawk, he went onto represent Nuneaton and
Macclesfield Town, who he left at the end of the 2018/19 season.
Calder,
23, is a defender who joins from Vanarama National League North side AFC
Telford United, who he signed for from rivals Bradford Park Avenue in October
2019, having only joined the latter in late August.
He
was originally part of the Aston Villa under-19’s team which won the 2012/13
NextGen Series, beating Chelsea in the final of the competition.
Whilst
on Villa`s books he had loan spells with Dundee, Doncaster Rovers where, in two
spells he made 23 appearances, and Lincoln City.
Upon
his release from Villa Park, the 4-times capped England under-17 international
joined Scottish Championship side Inverness Caledonian Thistle, for whom he
played 32 times, scoring one goal before being released in May 2018 to serve a
prison sentence.
Meanwhile,
Boro`s under-18 captain Luke Thompson has signed first team forms.
Thompson
is a centre-half who has also played for the club`s under-21's this season. |
