Chapman`s assistant-manager Mark Holloway has been promoted to the senior role until the end of the season when the situation will be reviewed.

Holloway joined the Hawks in the summer of 2018 and has become an integral part of the management set-up.

Since the departure of Chapman, Holloway stepped into the role on an interim and has moved quickly to bring in an experienced coach in David Collis to assist him.

Holloway previously held coaching positions at clubs including Grays Athletic and, more recently, Hornchurch.

He is a very well-respected coach in the game.

Collis worked his way through the ranks at Charlton Athletic before moving on to Barnet and then an extensive playing career at non-League level with the likes of Ford United, East Thurrock United, Hertford Town, Thurrock, Bishop’s Stortford, Grays, Ware and Hornchurch where he worked alongside Holloway as player-coach.

Meanwhile, following the arrival of Hector Mackie as Chapman`s final signing as Hawks boss, Holloway has brought in Ellis Ashworth, Serge Erkarslan and Charlie Collis to bolster his squad.

Mackie (pictured) came through the Tottenham Hotspur academy before having a number of trials with League clubs.

He signed for Stevenage Borough but failed to break into the first team and went on to feature for a number of clubs, mostly in the upper reaches of the non-League Pyramid, including Welling United, St Albans City, Bath City and Hayes & Yeading United, Wingate & Finchley.

More recently, Mackie has been playing in Canada for Vaughan FC and most recently Toronto Irish.

He returns to the Arena for a second spell, having been on the Hawks` books back in 2012/13.

Ashworth on a dual registration with Southern League Premier Division Central side Royston Town.

Born in Brentwood, Ashworth can play either at centre-back or right back and has recently returned from the United States where he has spent the previous four years with St Louis Lions and at Roger State University.

Erkarslan is a midfielder who featured for the Hawks earlier this season after joining in the summer of 2019, has re-joined the club after a spell with Isthmian League Premier side Cheshunt.

Erkarslan made 3 appearances and scored one goal in his first spell with the Hawks.

He is a central or attacking midfielder who started out in the Tottenham Hotspur academy before a spell with Swiss second division side FC Schnaffhausen.

After returning back to the United Kingdom, he featured for Cockfosters and Potters Bar Town before joining Harlow.

Also signing is teenager Charlie Collis, a young central midfielder who joins the Hawks from Southern League Premier Division Central outfit Needham Market where he has mostly featured for the under-18 side.

He is the nephew of new coach Dave Collis.
