The
22-year-old has struggled for game time with the Coasters, having scored 2
goals in 17 appearances this season to date.
Willoughby
joined Fylde in June 2019 following his departure from FC United of Manchester.
He
signed for the Coasters following a 19-goal-haul in the National League North
for FC United, despite relegation.
He
made a name for himself playing for AFC Blackpool in the North West Counties
League, scoring 40 goals in just half a season at his time there.
He
was then picked up by Clitheroe, where he continued his prolific form, scoring
26 goals in the league and earning a place in the league team of the season.
Despite
their relegation, his time at FC United was a productive one, finishing as top
goalscorer, winning players’ player of the year, and earning a first England C
cap, marking his debut with a goal in a 2-2 draw against Wales. |
