The teenager, who can play wide left or as a striker, joined Rovers from BetVictor Southern League Premier Division Central side Nuneaton Borough in the summer, turning down Premier League clubs in the process, and has featured 9 times in Rovers` first team, scoring one goal on the opening day of the season.

Allen has previous experience in the National League North, spending time on loan at Hereford FC earlier on in the season.

Manager James Rowe told http://www.gloucestercityafc.com: “Taylor is a wide player who had a lot of interest in him in the summer. Forest Green managed to capture his signature. Mark Cooper, whom I have a great relationship with, has given us a opportunity to continue the development of one of their upcoming talents. He’s an exciting, quick dribbler and makes things happen in the final third.”

“It’s been a busy period as regards to forming a squad that is capable of performing at the high intensity and quality needed to play front foot attacking possession football. That is what we have put together and within budget.”

“There will be not be any more permanent ins or out transfers as we settle and now focus on building momentum. With teams having 3 games in hand on us when arriving and now us having 2 games in hand on most, it’s important to have perspective. We have made some excellent additions and it’s time now to pull together and for our new players to build strong bonds with the supporters to take us forwards. Together we are stronger”.
