Alex
McQuade, Ryan Jennings, Francois Antoine and Richie Mottram have all checked
into the Select Security Stadium.
McQuade,
a central defender, and Jennings, a winger, both join from BetVictor Northern
Premier League Premier Division side Buxton and made their debuts in Saturday's
clash with Mossley AFC.
McQuade (pictured),
27, joined Buxton in the summer of 2019 from NPL Division One North West side
Ossett United where he was club captain.
Manchester-based
centre-half, he started his career at Bolton Wanderers before moving to
Shrewsbury Town in 2013, making his League debut in August of that year.
He
spent time on loan at Hyde United before stints at Guiseley AFC, another period
at Hyde and Farsley Celtic before signing for Warrington Town in the summer of
2016.
A
period of time was spent in Australia with Banyule City before returning to
England with Ossett Albion in 2017 and then with the merged Ossett United in
2018/19.
Jennings
is a 24-year-old who also signed for the Bucks in August 2019.
He
began his career with his hometown club Stockport County and joined Wigan
Athletic in 2012.
He
went on loan at Accrington Stanley in March 2015 but failed to make an
appearance through injury.
He
made his League debut in August 2015 in a Carling Cup defeat against Bury and
three months later joined then-National League side Cheltenham Town on an initial
one-month loan deal.
In
February 2016, he joined Cheltenham`s rivals Grimsby Town on loan until the end
of the season and he was part of the team that eventually went on to beat
Forest Green Rovers 3–1 in the 2016 National League Promotion Final at Wembley,
seeing Grimsby promoted to League Two after a six-year absence from the
Football League.
In
September 2016 he joined then-National League North side AFC Fylde, but by
December he had joined league rivals Curzon Ashton.
In
the summer of 2017, he signed for Alfreton Town before switching to Nuneaton
Borough the following November and onto Ashton United in February 2019.
Antoine,
20, is a attacking midfielder who signed for Widnes` league rivals Marine AFC
in July 2019.
He
appeared for League Two side Oldham Athletic at youth level before spells at
NPL Division One South East side Newcastle Town and North West Counties League
outfit Runcorn Town last season.
Mottram
is a vastly experienced goalkeeper who originally joined another league rival, Runcorn
Linnets, in late August 2019 from Widnes, who he had signed for in June 2016
for the first time.
He
has played over 250 games in the NPL following a spell in the Conference North
with Leigh RMI in 2007.
He
lifted the North West Counties League Cup with Winsford United in 2011 and won
promotion from the First Division with Barnton in 2016.
He
was an important member of the Widnes squad that won the First Division title
at the conclusion of the 2016/17 season before returning from a brief spell at
Burscough.
He
began the 2017/18 season with Northwich Victoria before returning to Widnes in
September 2017. |
