Joining the
Tangerines is Paul Betson and Steve Holder.
Midfielder Betson,
42, played for AFC Sudbury for many years, enjoying a testimonial for his
services.
He was a
stalwart of the side that dominated the Eastern Counties League for several
seasons and reached three successive FA Vase finals only to lose on each
occasion.
After signing
at the start of the 1999/00 season, Betson was a substitute in AFC Sudbury’s
very first game under its guise.
Betson remains
AFC Sudbury’s all-time leading appearance-maker with 376 appearances to his
name, before moving to Ipswich Wanderers in December 2006.
More recently,
he has been on the books at Newmarket Town, where he totalled over 300 games in
two spells, and Lakenheath, who he helped to promotion to the Thurlow Nunn
League last season.
Holder joins Diss from Bostik League North side
Mildenhall Town.
He joined
re-joined Hall from Newmarket in November 2017.
Holder re-joined
the Jockeys for his second spell with the club last summer.
The former
Stowmarket Town and Bury Town striker regained full fitness following a broken
leg sustained whilst with Hall in the Spring of 2016.
The frontman
helped Stowmarket to earn promotion to the Thurlow Nunn Premier in 2016/17. |
