Nigerian defender or midfielder Olu Durojaiye was announced as a new Iron yesterday along with the re-signing of Nathan McDonald, Billy Crook, Marcel Barrington, Luke Allen and Dan Thompson from last season`s squad.

Now they have been joined by Michael Clark and Lyle Della-Verde as two more new signings, as well as Billy Crook, Luke Allen and Mahrez Bettache – three more of last season`s promotion-winning squad.

Defender Clark, 20, arrives at Cressing Road from new league rivals Leyton Orient.

He captained the Leyton Orient youth team during the 2015/16 campaign, winning the South East and West Youth Merit League.

In his first season as a professional, Clark was sent on loan to East Thurrock United at the start of the 2016/17 season, making 33 appearances in all competitions and scoring 4 goals for the Rocks.

He was re-called from his loan and drafted into the Orient first-team squad in February 2017 and made his League debut as a sub in the 1-0 defeat at home to Cheltenham Town in February 2017.

He finished the season with nine first-team appearances for the O's and last season made three more appearances and also had a second loan spell at East Thurrock in December 2017, making seven appearances.

Twenty-three-year-old winger Della-Verde joins from National League South outfit Dartford.

After playing for Tottenham Hotspur and Southend United, Della-Verde signed for Fulham in 2011, turning professional on his 17th birthday in January 2012.

He made 8 appearances for Bristol Rovers on loan during 2014/15 and signed for Fleetwood Town in July 2015, where he made 8 appearances before joining Crawley Town in February 2016, where he made a further 12 appearances.

Season 2016/17 saw him made 17 appearances for Welling United and then 22 for Concord Rangers before switching to Dartford last summer, where he made 34 appearances for the eventual runners-up.
