In a long and varied career, the 44-year-old went on to play for Bristol Rovers, Reading, Queens Park Rangers, Swindon, Colchester United, Exeter City, Leyton Orient and Cheltenham Town, and in non-League Dagenham & Redbridge, Eastleigh and St Albans City as well as Farnborough.

He is also employed as an academy coach with the under 15s and 16s at Arsenal as well as the under-19s at Bishop`s Stortford.

He has notched over 350 goals over the course of a career which passed 1000 games at the end of the 2018/19 season as Bishop`s Stortford`s player-manager.

However, after failing to receive assurances over his future with the Blues, Cureton left the club,

He quoted on his Twitter account: “It has been a bit crazy but I wanted to say thank you to everyone for their support and kind words. Delighted to have sorted out my future by signing for @HornchurchFC. I was overwhelmed by all the offers I received but I had agreed something and didn’t want to go back on my word”.
