Langstaff is no stranger to Croft Park having made 17 appearances for Spartans in the 2016/17 season whilst on loan from Gateshead.

The 22-year-old moved to York from Gateshead in June 2018.

After starting his career in the Ebac Northern League with Billingham Synthonia, he joined Gateshead in February 2017 and made 5 appearances in the 2017/18 season but also spent two periods on loan at Blyth.

He also spent a month on loan with Bradford Park Avenue in February/March 2019.

Manager Lee Clark told http://www.blythspartans.com: “I am delighted to get Macaulay on board.

“My relationship with Steve Watson at York helped get this over the line, so my thanks goes to Steve for that.

“We obviously need to address the top of the pitch by creating chances and scoring goals etc and we believe Macauley will help us achieve that”.
