The 29-year-old has spent his whole career in professional football with Leicester City, Burton Albion, Torquay United and most recently Accrington Stanley, helping them achieve League One status. He has recently had six months out of football for reasons which grabbed the national headlines in recent weeks before mutually agreeing to cancel his Accrington contract two weeks ago. Coalville chairman Glyn Rennocks told the club`s website: “When someone of Billy’s calibre becomes available on our doorstep you have to do everything you can to get him on board. Since we met last week it`s been a pleasure to deal with him and we are delighted he’s chosen us over a host of big names in non-League football. “Being a Leicester based lad our location suits him perfectly, he can now balance working full time whilst playing part time football. I would like to thank everyone behind the scenes who has helped get this deal over the line”. |
