The 28-year-old arrived at The Jakemans Stadium in July 2019 to become the Pilgrims’ tenth signing of the summer.

He brings in a wealth of experience having featured for Buxton, Matlock Town, FC Halifax Town, Barnsley, Grimsby Town, Chester and Spennymoor Town.

He concluded the 2018/19 season on loan at Chorley before landing a deal at  Boston after impressing on trial.

Tuton has featured 18 times for United this season, scoring twice.

Alfreton manager Billy Heath told the club`s press officer Amar Sharma: “Shaun brings in a wealth of experience, he scored a lot of goals for Halifax before securing his move to Barnsley. He brings experience and quality to us, he hasn’t played a massive amount of games this season, it’s been a stop-start campaign for him so far.

“But he joins us aiming to get back scoring again, I worked with him at Halifax and he’s a great lad to have in the dressing room with his character and attitude. He gives us added firepower”.
